Alice
Will a detective investigating a series of murders be able to solve his mother’s death when he comes across a woman who looks just like her?
This drama follows the life of a man who is a detective and who finds himself unable to feel or express his emotions. While working on a case, he comes across a woman who looks exactly like his late mother, who was murdered years ago. Feeling intrigued by her, he keeps questioning her and meeting her. Adding more complexity to this already tricky mystery is the mystery that surrounds his own birth and life. Trying to understand what is happening around him and protect the people close to him, will he be able to find the truth behind it all?
I think this story was a good attempt at time travel genre. However, there are a few things that I found a little unnvering. The first was the fact that the love interest of the male protagonist and his mother looked exactly the same. I don’t know in which universe will a guy fall romantically for a woman who looks just like his mother. It was super weird. The second thing that I found a little off about this story was the illogical time travel rules which were shown. The people in the future played around with the past like it was their own make-believe world rather than the real world, and nothing changed in the future no matter how many times the past changed. The third thing that I felt this story struggled with was reconciling the idea of a traveling in time with parallel universes. It showed both and had way too many illogical inconsistencies, which made it a little annoying at times. Apart from these three things, the rest of the story was fine. The actors played their role well and the plot was fast-paced. Overall, it wasn’t too bad a watch but, I wouldn’t watch it again myself. So, I will leave the decision up to you.
