My Review….
I wanted to love this drama because honestly the story was pretty good and the characters were beautifully crafted. The complexity in their natures and how they balanced the good with the bad was so intricately woven into the story that you couldn’t help but admire it. The female lead too did an excellent job of staying true to her character. Her fierce need to make something of her life and not give in was a delight to behold. However, even though the male lead is a good actor and I have liked him in another drama, somehow he was almost expressionless in the entire story. His weak acting was the only sore thumb in this entire beautiful tale of adversity, love and family. Another thing I didn’t like was that the king was such a bad person. His possessiveness was a huge turn-off and the way he continuously created issues for the leads, I hated him for it. However, if you ignore that, and just focus on how beautiful the relationships in this drama were and the way the story progressed, you will definitely enjoy this one. As usual, the choice to stream or skip is up to you.
