My Review….
I went into this drama hoping the “two masterful liars sharing a roof” setup would shake things up, but it settles almost immediately into the same well-worn C-drama formula:
Standard cohabitation trope. Girl and boy are forced to live together—this time because they’re both spinning lies—and, surprise, they fall for each other.
Hero fixes everything. Once the romance kicks in, the male lead magically solves every problem the heroine faces, removing any real tension.
Manufactured conflict. Right on cue, a jealous second female lead barges in, stirs drama, and drives an obligatory wedge between our couple before the inevitable happy ending.
It’s not unwatchable—the opening episode shows promise and the leads have decent chemistry—but the plot never dares to be different. I ended up rating it low because the writers started strong, then chose the safest path instead of exploring something fresh.
If you love classic C-rom-com tropes and don’t mind fast-forwarding through a few dragged-out misunderstandings, you might find it passable comfort viewing. Otherwise, there’s nothing here you haven’t seen a dozen times before, so feel free to skip.
