Maid's Revenge

This drama follows the life of a woman who is the cherished daughter of her family. However, one night, her life changes forever when her entire family is slaughtered right in front of her. Things get even more complicated for her when she realizes that her fiancé is now engaged to her step-sister, and she has no one left who can help her. She then makes a risky move and decides to join her fiancé’s household as a maid. But, when she comes face to face with the man she thinks is responsible for her family’s death, all bets are off. She vows to end him and those responsible for her pain. He, on the other hand, is mysterious enough to never reveal the real him, and starts a love-hate relationship with her. Will these two lost souls figure out the reality before its toll late for them, or is their relationship meant to end in tears? Watch to find out!
My Review….
This is one of those dramas that may be short but succeed in causing a lot of impact on the minds of the audience. The pain of the leads, their helplessness, and courage in the face of danger and mayhem were beautifully portrayed by both the lead actors. Also, their chemistry was on fire. The moment they came on screen together, it made you watch them with rapt attention. One caveat though, is that on one hand, I hated their kind of toxic relationship. The way the male lead treated the female lead was pretty bad. But, on the other hand, the kind of relationship they had made sense due to their respective characters and circumstances in the story. No one in their right mind would ever like to be in a relationship like theirs, but maybe for them, it was more about loving your enemy in spite of your inner self hating you for it, which made it too difficult to hate. I would say that if you are someone who wants to watch a story with intrigue, romance and burning chemistry, give this one a try, but if you are someone who is triggered by toxic relationships, stay away from this one. I leave the decision up to you.
