Miss Crow with Mr. Lizard

When a man whose heart rate decides if he lives or dies, meets a woman who makes his heart race, are they meant to be each other’s saving grace or demise?

This story follows the life of a man who is successful yet feels very jaded towards life. Due to an accident that he encountered, he had to get a mechanical heart which can stop functioning if his heart beat goes beyond a specific rate and this has caused him to live his life in an almost robotic fashion, keeping his emotions as disjointed from him as possible. However, things start to change for him when he meets an orphan woman who has a thousand things to be unhappy about, but she tries to stay optimistic and happy. As they get to know each other better, he begins to fall for her. Fearing for his life as she makes his heart beat faster, the rest of the story follows their journey to figuring out if love is worth his life.

I enjoyed this story quite a lot. Even though I had seen similar plots in other stories before, the raw emotion between the leads was so heartfelt that I did find myself drawn into the story in spite of my reservations. The chemistry between the leads is great. However, sometime in the middle, the story begins to drag a little, but it picks the momentum later on and ultimately ends on a good note. So, if you are someone who enjoys a heart-warming romance, then you might just enjoy this one!
