You Raise Me Up

When a man who has lost his self-esteem meets a woman who was his first love and is now a successful urologist, will she be able to make him realize that self-worth comes from within?

This drama follows the life of a man who is preparing for civil services and in spite of giving the exam multiple times, he has never been able to pass the exam. On top of this, he also seems to have lost his sex drive. He decides that it is time to see a specialist. However, the specialist he goes to see turns out to be his first love. On the other hand, his first love though her life looks perfect on paper, she feels like something is missing in her life. Her fiancé might be successful but he is also arrogant and selfish. When she makes a bet with her fiancé that she can make her first love regain his self-esteem and become the version of himself that she fell in love with, their lives start changing. As she grows closer to her first love, she realizes that maybe he is what she is looking for. Will they end up together?

I found this plot to be a bit odd. It was oddly depressing and weird. I did not like the character the female lead played and the way she tried to help him because of a stupid bet instead of remaining professional and genuinely trying to help him become better, was quite disappointing. Also, the male lead was so pathetic and self-pitying that I did not enjoy this story at all. The end was good, and they managed to get over their problems, but I just did not enjoy this story too long. I would frankly recommend skipping this one.
