My Review….
I can honestly say this is one of the most heart-wrenching yet profoundly healing dramas I’ve ever watched. Seeing the main lead grapple with daily pain and helplessness truly broke my heart, and the warmth she receives from a friend who recognizes a worth in her that she can’t yet see is beyond moving. Their journey intricately weaves heartache, hope, and redemption, making you cry, sob, laugh, and smile all at once. Admittedly, the middle does drag on a bit (as is often the case with Chinese dramas), but it hardly matters when you’re so deeply invested in the characters.
The emotional resonance here is remarkable—have tissues ready. If you’re someone who craves stories that burrow into your soul and leave you feeling both wrecked and healed, this is your perfect pick. That said, don’t expect an easy, carefree ride: it delves into the harsh realities of life, including abandonment and abuse, which can be tough to watch. If those are triggers for you, you may want to skip this one.
But if you’re willing to be taken on a rollercoaster of raw emotion that will stay with you long after the final credits, hit play. In the end, whether you skip or stream is entirely up to you—but trust me, it’s worth every tear.
